Election of Member of Hawke’s Bay Land Board
Department of Lands and Survey,
District Office, Napier, 14th September, 1944.
I, FRANK RUPERT BURNLEY, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board, do hereby notify, in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, that the only person nominated to fill the vacancy occurring on the said Board was Cornelius John O’Reilly, Esquire, of Porangahau.
I do therefore hereby declare that the said Cornelius John O’Reilly is duly elected a member of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board as from the 27th day of August, 1944.

Fish Retailing
E. N. Horton, 169 Jerrald Street, Spreydon, Christchurch, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to sell wet and cooked fish from premises situated in Selwyn Buildings, Selwyn Street, Christchurch.
Taking of Fish for Sale
J. C. Robinson, 94 Church Street, Masterton, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the fishing-vessel “Leown,” WN. 322, so as to permit him to operate in its place the launch “Marion” (not yet registered), using the same method of fishing, catches to be landed at Glenburn, Flat Point, and Castlepoint.
G. A. G. Bronlund, Port Charles R.D., Colville, Coromandel, has applied for a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to operate the 14 ft. launch “Rosalie” (not yet registered), using crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Port Charles.
Sale by Wholesale of Fish
Nelson Fisheries and Cool Storage, Ltd., Nelson, have applied for a variation in the conditions of their fish-wholesaler’s license to permit the establishment and operation of a small chill-room at Havelock.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
H. E. Bush, 131 Hutchinson Avenue, New Lynn, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture women’s wood-soled clogs and sandals.
G. Healy, 410 Sandringham Road, Sandringham, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture women’s footwear of the open sandal type by the riveted process.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 5th October, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Westland Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
