The Tobacco-growing Industry Act, 1935.-Members of Tobacco Board reappointed Department of Industries and Commerce, Wellington, 14th September, 1944.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to reappoint, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities of section 3 of the Tobacco-growing Industry Act, 1935-

Walter Robert Olliver and Cedric Malcolm Paynter as representatives of manufacturers, and Nolan Rowling and Martin Henry Thorn as representatives of growers,

all of whom retired on the 31st July, 1944, in pursuance of section 4 of the above Act.

Notice constituting the Northland, Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty Provincial Patriotic Districts

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Patriotic Purposes Emergency Regulations 1939; the Minister of Internal Affairs doth hereby constitute and declare the areas specified in the Schedule hereto, being now subdivisions of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic District, Provincial Patriotic Districts under the said regulations, as from the 30th day of September, 1944, with the names and boundaries specified in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE PROVINCIAL PATRIOTIC DISTRICTS

  1. The Northland Provincial Patriotic District ALL that area comprising-

The County of Mangonui, with the boundaries as defined in the Gazette of the 1st May, 1918, Vol. II, at page 1685, and including the Kaitaia Town District.

The County of Whangaroa, with the boundaries as defined in the Gazette of the 1st May, 1918, Vol. II, at page 1686.

The County of Hokianga, with the boundaries as defined in the Gazette of 1st May, 1918, Vol. II, at page 1686, and including the Rawene Town District and the Kohukohu Town District.

The County of Bay of Islands, with the boundaries as defined in the Gazette of the 25th September, 1930, Vol. III, at page 2823, and including the town districts of Kaikohe, Russell, and Kawakawa.

The County of Whangarei, with the boundaries as defined in the Gazette of the 28th January, 1932, Vol. I, at page 150, and including the Borough of Whangarei and the town districts of Hikurangi, Kamo, and Onerahi.
