A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto ; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

All in the Otago Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of September, 1944.

Land and a Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land and Easements over Land taken for Public Works

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto is hereby taken for public works, and that the leasehold estate or interest held from His Majesty the King by Donald Victor Thomas, of Tuai, Farmer, under and by virtue of Renewable Lease, Volume 89, folio 217 (Gisborne Registry), in the land described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public work, and easements are hereby taken for a public work over the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto vesting in His Majesty the King the full and free liberty, right, licence, and authority in perpetuity to lay, place, and maintain water-pipes along, under, or over the said land, and to convey water from the land described in the Second Schedule hereto through the said pipes, and also vesting in His Majesty the King the full and free liberty, right, licence, and authority in perpetuity to construct and use a right-of-way over the said land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, with the right for His Majesty’s servants, agents, and workmen from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass with or without horses or other animals or vehicles over the said land, such easements to be held appurtenant to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.
