The National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Notice under Regulation 19 requiring Men, who have been called up for Service with the Armed Forces, to report
I, ALBERT EDWARD CONWAY, Adjutant-General, New Zealand Military Forces, and an authorized officer for the purpose of the above-mentioned regulations, do hereby give notice, pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 19 of the said regulations, that the men whose names, addresses, and descriptions are given in the Schedule attached (being men who have been called up in accordance with the said regulations for service with the Armed Forces), are required to report at the respective times and places shown in the said Schedule.

Land declared an Infected Place under Stock Act, 1908.—(Notice No. Ag. 4131)

NOTICE is hereby given that, as anthrax has been determined to exist among stock on the land described in the Schedule hereto, the said land has been declared to be an infected place in pursuance of section 12 of the Stock Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE
FIRSTLY, all that piece of land containing 77 acres 1 rood 33·4 perches, more or less, situate in Block V of the Mount Robinson Survey District, being part Section 425 in the Township of Foxton, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 341, folio 67, Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels).
Secondly, all that piece of land containing 18 acres and 34 perches, more or less, situate in Block V of the Mount Robinson Survey District, being Sections 419 and 420 of the Town of Foxton, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 389, folio 157, Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels).

I, BASIL KING, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Westland Land Board, do hereby notify, in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, that the only person nominated to fill the vacancy occurring on the said Board was—
William Clayton, Esquire, of Ahaura.
And I do therefore hereby declare that the said William Clayton is duly elected a member of the Westland Land Board for a term of two years as from 17th September, 1944.

IN accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, it is hereby notified that the following have been elected as members of the Education Board of the District of Hawke’s Bay :—
For the Gisborne Urban Area : John Oliver Musgrave.
For the Napier Urban Area : Thomas Rowe.
For the Hastings Urban Area : George Alfred Maddison.
For the North Ward of the Rural Area : Claud Russell Sainsbury.
For the Middle Ward of the Rural Area : Arthur Henry Sivewright.
For the South Ward of the Rural Area : William Cuthbertson.
No poll was required for the Hastings Urban Area, the Napier Urban Area, the Gisborne Urban Area, and the North Ward of the Rural Area.

Building Construction Control Notice No. 18
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, and the Building Emergency Regulations 1939, I hereby require and direct as follows :—
- This notice may be cited as the Building Construction Control Notice No. 18.
- This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
- After the coming into force of this notice, no person shall, except with the precedent consent of the Building Controller, fix or enclose any insulated stranded electrical conductors in wood casing as part of the electrical installation in any premises or cause or permit any insulated stranded electrical conductors to be so fixed or enclosed.
