Stipendiary Magistrate authorized to exercise Jurisdiction in Children’s Court

a Stipendiary Magistrate, to exercise jurisdiction in the Children’s Court established at Christchurch.

The Napier Milk Delivery Scheme, 1940, Amendment No. 2

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Napier Milk Delivery Scheme 1940, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Napier Milk Delivery Scheme, 1940† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal scheme”).

  2. The principal scheme is hereby amended—

(a) By inserting, after clause 2, the following:—

“2A (1) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members:—

“(a) Two members to be appointed by the Napier Borough Council:

“(b) One member to be appointed by the Napier Milk-vendors’ Association:

“(c) The Zoning Officer for New Zealand.

“(2) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

“(3) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

“(4) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.”

(b) By revoking, in their reference to zone numbered 10, the words “D. McCutcheon, Greenmeadows,” and substituting therefor the words “D. Lawrence and J. Halpin, of Napier.”

Declaring a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area

PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, Benjamin Roberts, Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land, defined as aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purpose of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule; and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 7th day of September, 1944.


SCHEDULE

MERCURY BAY BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA

ALL that area of land situated within the Coromandel County and the Thames County, and bounded by a line commencing at the point on the sea-coast known as Te Huruhuru Point, Block X, Whitianga Survey District; thence following along the southern boundary of the Coromandel County in a north-westerly direction to the north-western corner of Block VIII, Whitianga Survey District; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Block VIII, Whitianga Survey District, to the south-western corner of this block aforesaid; thence following along the southern boundary of Block VII, Whitianga Survey District, in a westerly direction to the north-western corner of Block XI, Whitianga Survey District. From this point in a straight line in a north-westerly direction to the south-western corner of Block IX, Hastings Survey District; thence in a northerly direction along the western boundary of the block aforesaid to the point where this boundary crosses the southern boundary of the Coromandel County; thence in a straight line in a north-westerly direction to Trig. Station 2079, Block IV, Hastings Survey District. From this point in a straight line in a northerly direction to the Motutere Trig. Station, Block XV, Coromandel Survey District; thence in a straight line in a north-easterly direction to the south-western corner of Block VIII, Coromandel Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of Block VIII, Coromandel Survey District, to the eastern bank of the Owera Stream; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern bank of the Owera Stream to the point where the stream aforesaid enters the Whangapaua Harbour; thence from this point following along the sea-coast in a generally easterly and then southerly direction to Te Huruhuru Point, being the original point of commencement.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 11th day of August, 1944, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:

Now, therefore, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, do hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and I hereby specify the 15th day of September, 1944, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, being Section Twelve (12), Block XII, Ohinemuri Survey District, formerly part of Ohinemuri No. 8 Block, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 674, folio 211 (Auckland Registry).

As witness my hand, this 30th day of August, 1944.
