Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, City of Christchurch
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 11th August, 1944.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Heathcote and included in the City of Christchurch.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF HEATHCOTE AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH
ALL that area in the County of Heathcote, Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch (New Zealand Gazette, 1942, pages 2743-4), being a point on the eastern side of Mount Pleasant Road at the westernmost corner of Lot 1 on plan deposited in the Canterbury District Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 11515 ; thence proceeding generally southerly along the eastern side of Mount Pleasant Road aforesaid to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 8 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 10400 ; thence south-westerly by a right line across Mount Pleasant Road, to and along the said south-eastern boundary of that lot and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 7 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 10400, and its production to the south-western side of Muritai Terrace ; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of that terrace to and across Major Hornbrook's Road ; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western side of that road to the southernmost corner of Lot 1 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 9478 ; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 and Lot 7 on that plan and Lot 5 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 10015 to the southernmost corner of Lot 4 on plan No. 10015 aforesaid ; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 4 and Lots 2 and 1 on the said plan to Major Hornbrook's Road ; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of that road to its intersection with the said boundary of the City of Christchurch at the south-eastern corner of R.S. 1161 ; thence generally north-easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades
Office of the Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 3rd August, 1944.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive) : 1st August to 31st August, 1944 :—

Declaration of Result of Election of Producers' Representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee
I, MAY WAREHAM, Returning Officer for the purpose of the election of five (5) producers' representatives for appointment to the Hop Marketing Committee established by the Hop Marketing Regulations 1939, made under the Marketing Act, 1936, and the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, do hereby declare the following five (5) producers to have been duly nominated for the said vacancies :—
Beuke, Henry Conrad.
Hickmott, William.
Inglis, Jeffrey MacGlashen.
O'Hara, Samuel Edward.
Rowling, Bertie Thomas.
As the number of candidates nominated does not exceed the number of vacancies to be filled, I therefore declare the said Henry Conrad Beuke, William Hickmott, Jeffrey MacGlashen Inglis, Samuel Edward O'Hara, and Bertie Thomas Rowling to be duly elected for appointment to such office.

Previous Notice : No. 15 of 1944 hereby cancelled.
Position : Lat., 37° 03' S.; long., 174° 33' E. (approx.).
Alterations : On the 20th inst. the existing light will be exhibited from a new tower which has been erected in a position 167° 824 ft. from the charted position. Seaward arc of visibility from 356° through north to 125°. Tower, concrete, 25 ft. high, painted red with white dome. Elevation, 435 ft.
