Members of Rabbit Boards appointed.—(Notice No. Ag. 4129)
PURSUANT to the powers vested in him by section 37 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, the Minister of Agriculture doth hereby appoint the persons whose respective names are set forth in the first column of the Schedule hereto, being persons appointed Inspectors under Part I of the said Act, to be members of the respective Rabbit Boards set forth in the second column of the said Schedule, vice the persons whose respective names are set forth in the third column of the said Schedule.

Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Waikouaiti County—(Notice No. Ag. 4127)

THE following special order made by the Waikouaiti County Council on the 22nd day of May, 1944, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928:—
SPECIAL ORDER
“ That pursuant to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, and amendments thereto, the Waikouaiti County Council hereby resolves that burdock (Arctium, any species) and St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) be hereby declared noxious weeds within the Waikouaiti County.”

THE following special order made by the Piako County Council on the 19th day of June, 1944, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.
SPECIAL ORDER
“ It was resolved, in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, and amendments, and the Counties Act 1920, and amendments, that ‘The Piako County Council doth hereby declare by way of special order that gorse (Ulex europaeus) is a noxious weed within the jurisdiction of the Piako County Council.’ ”

Notice of Intention to take Land for Public Works
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, in terms of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto for public works : And notice is hereby further given that the respective plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the post-offices as set out in such Schedules and are there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 2nd day of August, 1944, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
