I, DANIEL GILES SULLIVAN, for the Minister of Finance, in exercise of the option reserved to the Minister of Finance by section 15 of the New Zealand Debt Conversion Act, 1932–33, and in the prospectus dated the 4th day of March, 1933, hereby give notice to holders of the securities above mentioned that the said securities will be repaid at par on the 15th day of May, 1944, together with interest for the period 15th February to the 15th May, 1944. Interest on the securities will then cease.

Portion of Bay of Islands Consolidation Scheme (Matawai Sub-series of Motatau “A” Series) confirmed
In the matter of section 161 of the Native Land Act, 1931, and in the matter of an application to the Native Land Court to prepare a scheme of consolidation in respect of Motatau No. 1a and other blocks.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation (in part) dealing with Motatau 1b (balance), Motatau 1c, Motatau 1d, and Motatau 5A 3 Blocks within the Tokerau Native Land Court District, being the first and final instalment of the Matawai Sub-series and being portion of the Motatau “A” Series of the Bay of Islands Consolidation Scheme, having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance with the above-mentioned Act and submitted under the seal of the said Court to the Native Minister for his approval, the Native Minister, being satisfied that the partial scheme so submitted is just and equitable and is in the public interest, doth hereby confirm the said partial scheme of consolidation so submitted.

Special Order made by the Awatere County Council altering Riding Boundaries and adjusting Representation

Wellington, 4th February, 1944.
THE following special order made by the Awatere County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, in so far as publication is required by that Act. Pursuant to section 100 of the aforesaid Act, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921–22, I hereby fix the 21st day of April, 1944, as the date from which the redivision of the county into three ridings as set out in the said special order shall take effect.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1920, the Awatere County Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows:—
“ That the present division of the County of Awatere into three ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided as heretofore into three ridings, to be called respectively by the Flaxbourne Riding, Lower Awatere Riding, and Upper Awatere Riding, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto :—
“ SCHEDULE
“ Flaxbourne Riding.—Commencing on the north shore of Lake Grassmere at the south-eastern corner of Section 28, Block XII, Clifford Bay Survey District, and bounded towards the north-east and south-east by the ocean to the boundaries of the Kaikoura County, described in Gazette of 19th September, 1940, on page 2353; thence north-westerly by the said county boundary to the south-eastern corner of Section 3, Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence northerly by the east boundary of said Section 3 and its prolongation to the middle-line of the Ure River; thence westerly by the said middle-line to the westerly boundary of the S.G. Run 186; thence northerly by the said westerly boundary to the northern boundary of the said S.G. run; thence easterly by the northern boundaries of S.G. Run 186 and Lot 1, D.P. 761, and by a right line across Dunsandel Stream to the boundary of S.G. Run 182; thence northerly by the western boundaries of S.G. Runs 182 and 181 and 166 to the Flaxbourne River; thence easterly by that river to S.G. Run 165; thence northerly and easterly by that S.G. run to the south-western corner of S.G. Run 169; thence north-easterly by the western boundaries of that S.G. run and Sections 3, 11, and 1, Block II, Cape Campbell Survey District, to the Main North Road; thence south-easterly by that road to a creek forming the north-western boundary of Section 16, Block II aforesaid; thence by that creek to Lake Grassmere, and by the western and northern shores of that lake to the place of commencement.
“ Lower Awatere Riding.—Commencing at a point on the southern bank of the Awatere River in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section 30, Clifford Bay Survey District, and thence north-east, east, and south following the north-western, northern, and eastern boundaries of the Awatere County, as described in the First Schedule of the Awatere County Act, 1911, to the Flaxbourne Riding as hereinbefore described; thence south-west by the north-west boundary of the aforesaid riding to the Flaxbourne River; thence westerly generally by the aforesaid river, being the southern boundaries of S.G. Runs 136, 135, 134, and 133, to the south-west corner of S.G. Run 133; thence northerly by the western boundary of the aforesaid S.G. Run 133 and the Richmond Brook to the south-eastern corner of Section 6, Block XXI, Taylor Pass Survey District;
