to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

to be Deputy Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Gisborne Land District for the purposes of the Land Act, 1924, on and from the 26th day of June, 1944.
James Renfrew White
to be an Assistant Inspector of Hospitals for the purposes of section 95 of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, on and from the 16th day of June, 1944.
Murdoch Bane Mackenzie
to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Stock Act, 1908, the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, on and from the 1st day of July, 1944.

Notice of Intention to take Land for Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Lower Hutt and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 18th day of July, 1944, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 2 roods 1·5 perches.
Being Lot 1, D.P. 1500, being part Section 47, Hutt District.
Situated in Block IX, Belmont Survey District (City of Lower Hutt). (S.O. 21138.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119578, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

The Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, amended
PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

This notice shall be read together with and deemed part of the Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal scheme”).

Clause 3 of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “W. Harland, 41 Mornington Road, Dunedin” (relating to the delivery of milk in Zone No. 23), and substituting therefor the following: “Robert McKinnon, 6 David Street, Dunedin.”

The Mataura Milk Delivery Notice 1944
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

This notice may be cited as the Mataura Milk Delivery Notice 1944.

This notice shall come into force on the Monday following publication thereof in the Gazette.

The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.
SCHEDULE
THE MATAURA MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1944
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means the area of the Borough of Mataura :
“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport.
