Land taken for Street in the City of Christchurch

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for street and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 6·6 perches.
Being part Rural Section 148, situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7533.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119140, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of June, 1944.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Kohekohe-Pollok Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4108)

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of June, 1944

Present:

THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:

And whereas the district known as the Kohekohe-Pollok Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:

And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid:

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE KOHEKOHE-POLLOK RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Franklin County, bounded generally towards the north by the Manukau Harbour Entrance; towards the east by the Manukau Harbour and the Waiuku River; towards the south-east by the Waipipi Rabbit District, described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1924, page 2952, as being the south side of the road forming the north-western boundaries of Allotments 323, 324, 325, 326, 94, and 210, Waipipi Parish, Lots 48, 47, 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, and 117, Suburban Section 5 of the aforesaid parish, and Allotment 213A of the said Waipipi Parish, to the road angle opposite the north-eastern corner of Allotment 218 of the said parish, by a right line to the said north-eastern corner, and by the northern and north-eastern boundary of Allotments 218 and 217 of the said parish, the southern shore of Lake Pokorua, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Allotment 403, Waipipi Parish, the south-eastern side of the road along the north-western boundary of Allotment 354 of the said parish, and towards the west by the Tasman Sea.

THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

ALL that parcel of land containing an area of 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 94, D.P. 23433, part Parawai No. 3A, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 706, folio 3, (Auckland Registry).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for street.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

John Blair,
Ross Lange,
George Mabey,
William Henry Ebbitt,
John McIntosh, and
Malcolm Alexander Bellerby

to be the Putorino Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, at half-past one o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Hall, Putorino, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
