Notice of Intention to take Land for Public Works

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, in terms of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto for public works: And notice is hereby further given that the respective plans of the land so proposed to be taken are deposited in the post-offices as set out in such Schedules, and are there open for inspection; and that any person affected by the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 30th day of May, 1944, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Situated in the Borough of Otahuhu.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of Essential Industry No. 137

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the Manual Training Centres under the control of the Rehabilitation Department to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Clarence Noel Irvine, of the Public Trust Office, Masterton, to be deputy of the District Public Trustee, Masterton, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous Warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.
