Election of Members of Fire Boards by Insurance Companies

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 23rd May, 1944.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, it is hereby notified that an election by the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand of members of the undermentioned Fire Boards will be held on Wednesday, the 14th day of June, 1944, in the manner prescribed by the said Act and rules. The number of members to be elected in the case of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board and of the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board shall be four. In the case of Wanganui, Wellington, and Christchurch Fire Boards, the number shall be three, and in all others two members :—

The Pig Marketing Emergency Regulations 1943.—Amending Notice fixing Prices and Basic Values

Wellington, 22nd May, 1944.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5 of the Pig Marketing Emergency Regulations 1943, I hereby further amend the notice (given under my hand on the 3rd day of November, 1943, and published in the Gazette on the 4th day of the same month at page 1287) which fixes the maximum prices that an operator may pay for pigs, by declaring that operators may pay for all kinds and grades of pigs, except choppers, purchased or killed during the month of May, 1944, prices greater by one halfpenny per pound dressed weight (including head) than the prices fixed by the said notice as heretofore amended.
