Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown Land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Whangarei County, containing by admeasurement 280 acres, more or less, being Section 3, Block IV, Hukerenui Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 9/15, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland S.O. plan 33093.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of May, 1944.

Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT RESERVE 1843 (formerly closed road): Area, 2 acres and 31 perches, more or less. Reserve 1844 (formerly closed road): Area, 2 acres 1 rood 35·8 perches, more or less. Reserve 1845 (formerly closed road): Area, l acre 1 rood 7·4 perches, more or less.
All situated in Block XV, Waitaha Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of May, 1944.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the City of Christchurch of a Width less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft. 6 in., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of May, 1944 Present:
THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Christchurch City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet six inches, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots l, 2, 3, 7, and 8, as shown on plan marked P.W.D. 119071, fronting the said street within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, being part Lot 2, D.P. 12113, part Lots 51 and 52, D.P. 8335, part Rural Section 154. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119071, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Foreshore License.—Pegasus Fishing Company, Limited.— Boat-shed and Fish-freezing Buildings.—Pegasus Harbour, Stewart Island

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit the Pegasus Fishing Company, Limited, of Invercargill (hereinafter called “the company”, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore of Pegasus Harbour, Stewart Island, as shown on approved plan marked M.D. 4605 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boat-shed and fish-freezing buildings as shown on the said plan, such license to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- THIS license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto. 2. The premium payable by the company shall be one pound (£1) and the annual sum so payable one pound (£1). 3. The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 8th day of May, 1944.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit Basil Sutton Darnell and Florence Norah Darnell, of Whangaroa (hereinafter called “the licensees”, which term shall include their executors, administrators or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore in Whangaroa Harbour, as shown on approved plans marked M.D. 2526, 2948, and 3175, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boat-shed, wharf, and stable, as shown on the said plans, such license to be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, and doth prescribe that all the dues and rates set forth in the Second Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the licensees for the use of the said wharf.
FIRST SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS - THIS license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto. 2. The premium payable by the licensees shall be one pound (£1) and the annual sum so payable one pound (£1). 3. The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of April, 1944. 4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.
SECOND SCHEDULE
Dues
Passengers EVERY person who shall enter or land on or be shipped from the said wharf shall pay the sum of 6d.
Berthage Every person who shall berth his launch or vessel at or alongside the said wharf shall pay the sum of 1s. per day or part of a day during which the said launch or vessel is berthed at the said wharf.
