Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 1 acre 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, situated in the District of Christchurch, being part Rural Section 79 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as A 3606, and being all the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 36, folio 12.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 7391, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of April, 1944.

Declaring that Portions of the Right Bank of the Mangatainoka River in Block II, Mangahao Survey District, shall be protected

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section two hundred and seven of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the portions of the right bank of the Mangatainoka River, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be protected.

SCHEDULE

ALL those portions of the right bank of the Mangatainoka River adjoining parts Sections 23 and 26, Block II, Mangahao Survey District. In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119167, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of May, 1944.

Stopping Portion of Government Road in Block V, Opoutihi Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road hereby stopped:—

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 1 27 Ongaonga Block No. 1E; coloured green.
2 0 17 Ongaonga Block, Parts 1G 3; coloured green.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113676, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of May, 1944

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, viz.:—

“That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-western side of the portion of Bernard Street adjoining Allotment 15, Block VII, D.P. 1829, Township of Barrfield, such land being comprised and described in Certificate of Title 143/213 ”;
