HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been
duly set apart for plantation purposes: And whereas, in
the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said
reserves in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County
of Maniototo :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the
date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of
the County of Maniototo, in trust, for plantation purposes.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the lands described in the First Schedule hereto
have been duly set apart as reserves for resting-places for
travelling stock :

And whereas the land described in the Second Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart as a reserve for gravel-pit purposes :

And whereas the land described in the Third Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart as a reserve for a roadman's cottage-site :

And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Masterton :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the
Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby
declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves
described in the Schedules hereto shall become vested in the Chair-

for their respective purposes.

Recreation Reserve in the Wellington Land District brought under
Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
March, 1944

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the
Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be
and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared
to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such
reserve shall hereafter form part of the Kaitawa Domain, and be
managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the
Kaitawa Domain Board.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing 1 acre, more or less, being Town Section 33
on the plan of the Special Settlement, Township of Kaitawa, and
being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 62,
folio 138 (Wellington Registry).

Officer authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-
hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act,
1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
George Thomas Bolt, being an officer in the service of the Crown
holding the office of Secretary, Public Service Commissioner's
Office, Wellington, is authorized to take and receive statutory
declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices
of the Peace Act, 1927.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 9th day of March, 1944.

Government Railways Appeal Board.—Appointment of Member

WHEREAS by notice in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11 dated
the twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-three, at page 239, James Stanley Roscoe was declared to
have been elected to act as a member of the Government Railways
Appeal Board for a term of three years from and including the sixth
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three :

And whereas the said James Stanley Roscoe is incapacitated by
reason of illness from acting as a member of the said Board :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred on me by subsection four of section nine of the Govern-
ment Railways Amendment Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, hereby
appoint as a member of the said Board Charles Wilfred Stewart White,
to hold office from the thirteenth day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-four, for the period of incapacity of the
said James Stanley Roscoe.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 9th day of March, 1944.
