CHANGE OF SURNAME
KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the Office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at New Plymouth) that I, the undersigned ELLA CONSTANCE JESSIE MAIL, of New Plymouth, in the Provincial District of Taranaki, and sometimes called ELLA CONSTANCE JESSIE SIMMONS, do hereby absolutely remove and abandon the use of my said name of Ella Constance Jessie Simmons and in lieu thereof assume and adopt the name of Ella Constance Jessie Mail, and for the purpose of evidencing such change of name I hereby declare that I shall at all times hereafter in all records, deeds, and documents and other writings, and in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in all dealings and transactions, matters, and things whatsoever, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said name of Ella Constance Jessie Mail as my name in lieu of the name of Ella Constance Jessie Simmons so abandoned as aforesaid, and I therefore expressly authorize and require all persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me by such adopted name of Ella Constance Jessie Mail only.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my adopted name of Ella Constance Jessie Mail this 16th day of December, 1943.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand,

(Christchurch Registry).
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of UNITED SAWMILLS, LIMITED, a company duly incorporated having its registered office at Christchurch, and carrying on business as Timber Sawmillers at Te Kinga and elsewhere in Westland.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 15th day of December, 1943, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £30,000 to £22,500, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above Act, were registered by the Registrar of Companies at Hokitika on the 22nd day of December, 1943.
And further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following :—
“The capital of United Sawmills, Limited, is £22,500 divided into 30,000 shares of 15s. each, instead of £30,000 divided into 30,000 shares of £1 each. Upon registration of this minute each of the said shares shall be deemed to be fully paid up.”

1st NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, 1914–18
ROLL OF HONOUR published in 1924 by the DEFENCE DEPARTMENT, giving—
(1) A list of members of the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force killed in action, died of wounds inflicted, of accidents occurring, or disease contracted while on active service.
(2) Those who died after discharge from the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted or disease contracted while on active service up to 31st December, 1923.
(3) Those who died from accident occurring or disease contracted while training with or attached to the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force of New Zealand.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
