NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at Kaikohe on Wednesday, the 9th February, 1944, at 10.30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

The Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1943.—Income-tax payable

IN accordance with Order in Council dated 25th August, 1943, issued under the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1943, I hereby notify that the income-tax leviable under section 3 of that Act is payable at my office in one sum on Thursday, 10th February, 1944, and that additional tax accrues if not paid by 2nd March, 1944. Liability is not suspended by any objection, and tax must be paid by the prescribed date to avoid additional percentage; any overpayment will be refunded.

Demands will be issued on or about 3rd February, 1944, and must be presented with all payments. Taxpayers who do not receive an expected demand should notify me.

Social Security Charge and National Security Tax payable by Companies

IN accordance with Order in Council dated 25th August, 1943, issued under the Social Security Act, 1938, the Finance Act, 1940, and the Social Security Contribution (Companies) Regulations 1943, I hereby notify that the combined charge payable by companies on income derived during the year ended 31st March, 1943, is payable at my office in one sum on Wednesday, 2nd February, 1944, and that the 10-per-cent. penalty will accrue on any amount not paid by 2nd March, 1944.

Demands will be issued during the month of January, 1944, and must be presented with all payments.
