ESTATE OF JOHN PORTER

In the matter of the Administration Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in the matter of the Estate of JOHN PORTER, late of Wanganui, but now deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand on the 24th day of February, 1944, pursuant to the powers in that behalf conferred upon him by section 62 of the above-mentioned Act, filed a certificate in the Supreme Court at Wellington electing to administer the above estate under Part IV of the said Act, and that the said estate will, as from the said date, be administered, realized, and distributed in accordance with the law and practice of bankruptcy.

Notice is further given that I do hereby summon a meeting of creditors of the above estate to be held at the Public Trust Office, Wanganui, on Monday, the 6th day of March, 1944, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Notice is finally given that all creditors, whether they have already submitted their claims or not, are required to prove their debts within the time and in the manner provided by the Bankruptcy Act, 1908. Proof-of-debt forms may be procured at my office.

I, ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYKOVICH, of 4 Charlton Avenue, Mount Eden, heretofore called and known by the name of ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYSCE, hereby give public notice that on the 21st day of February, 1944, I formerly and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of VOYSCE and then reassumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYKOVICH instead of the name of ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYSCE: And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 21st day of February, 1944, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District (Auckland Registry), I have, with the consent of the Hon. Minister of Internal Affairs, formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of VOYSCE and declared that I have reassumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribed the name of ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYKOVICH instead of ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYSCE, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYKOVICH exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named company has passed a resolution for voluntary winding up, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to sections 234 and 300 (7) of the Companies Act, 1933, at the office of Messrs. H. R. WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City and Suburban Water-supply Loan, 1929, Renewal Loan, 1944, of £11,400

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 6th day of March, 1944:—

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of eleven thousand four hundred pounds (£11,400), to be known as the ‘Wellington City and Suburban Water-supply Loan, 1929, Renewal Loan, 1944,’ authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying, to the extent that sinking funds are insufficient, the Wellington City and Suburban Water-supply Loan, 1929, of £14,200, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine eight-hundredths of a penny (9/800d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington and the suburban area as defined in the Wellington City and Suburban Water-supply Act, 1927, and its amendments, which suburban area now comprises the Borough of Upper Hutt, the Borough of Eastbourne, and the area described in the Second Schedule to the Wellington City and Suburban Water-supply Act, 1927, which area at the time of the passing of that Act was wholly included in the County of Hutt and is now included partly in the County of Hutt and partly in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 2nd day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years from the 1st day of June, 1944, or until the said loan is fully paid off.”
