Land taken for a Fire-station in the Borough of Rotorua

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a fire-station and shall vest in the Rotorua Fire Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 roods.
Being part Rotorua Town Belt.

Situated in Block I, Tarawera Survey District (Borough of Rotorua) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 31766.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 118311, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of February, 1944.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Altering the Boundaries of the Grey and the Westland Electric-power Districts

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Grey and the Westland Electric-power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule hereto from the Westland Electric-power District and including such area in the Grey Electric-power District, and do hereby declare that the boundaries of the Grey and the Westland Electric-power Districts shall be those described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the right or northern bank of the Taramakau River with the mean high-water mark of the Tasman Sea, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction along the said right or northern bank of the Taramakau River (as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 2851, constituting the Grey Electric-power District) to its junction with the eastern boundary of Block VII, Waimea Survey District; thence due south along that boundary across the Taramakau River and a public road to the eastern boundary of Section 2069; thence generally in a southerly and westerly direction along the eastern and southern boundaries respectively of Section 2069 to the north-eastern corner of Section 3185; thence in a southerly direction by the eastern boundary of that section and by the south-eastern boundary of that section crossing the Greymouth–Kumara tramway; thence by the production of that boundary across Crown land and the Greymouth–Kumara Road to the north-eastern boundary of Section 3184; thence in a south-easterly and south-westerly direction by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries respectively of that section to the northern side of the D.J. Road; thence generally in a westerly direction by the northern side of that road to the south-western corner of Section 129 (E.E.R.); thence in a southerly direction across the said D.J. Road, to and along the north-western boundary of Section 3222 to a point in line with the production of the southern boundary of Section 2545; thence in a westerly direction across a public road, the Hokitika–Greymouth Railway, and again across a public road to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 2545; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of that section and the production thereof across a public road to the mean high-water mark of the Tasman Sea; thence in a northerly direction by the said mean high-water mark of the Tasman Sea to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 112302, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the right or northern bank of the Taramakau River with the eastern boundary of Block VII, Waimea Survey District, and proceeding due south along that boundary across the Taramakau River and a public road to the eastern boundary of Section 2069; thence generally in a southerly and westerly direction along the eastern and southern boundaries respectively of Section 2069 to the north-eastern corner of Section 3185; thence in a southerly direction by the eastern boundary of that section and by the south-eastern boundary of that section crossing the Greymouth–Kumara Tramway; thence by the production of that boundary across Crown land and the Greymouth–Kumara Road to the north-eastern boundary of Section 3184; thence in a south-easterly and south-westerly direction by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries respectively of that section to the northern side of the D.J. Road; thence generally in a westerly direction by the northern side of that road to the south-western corner of Section 129 (E.E.R.); thence in a southerly direction across the said D.J. Road to and along the north-western boundary of Section 3222 to a point in line with the production of the southern boundary of Section 2545; thence in a westerly direction across a public road, the Hokitika–Greymouth Railway, and again across a public road to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 2545; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of that section and the production thereof across a public road to the mean high-water mark of the Tasman Sea; thence in a northerly direction by the said mean high-water mark of the Tasman Sea to the mouth of the Ten Mile Creek, Block II, Te Miko Survey District; thence along the said creek to its source at the summit of the Paparoa Range to Trig. L; thence along the summit of the said range to Trig. G at the source of the Moonlight Creek, continuing down the said creek to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 11, Block XII, Waiwhero Survey District; thence to the south-western corner of the said section; thence in a northerly direction along the western boundary of Sections 11 and 12, eastward along the northern boundary of Section 12; thence along the western boundary of Sections 15 and 16; thence along the northern boundary of Section 16 to the Big River; thence down the said river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 3021, Block XII, Waiwhero Survey District, continuing along the said boundary to the north-east corner of the said section; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section 2762, Block IX, Mawheraiti Survey District; thence along the north-western boundary of the said section to the Craigieburn River; thence down the said river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Mawheraiti Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-western boundaries of Sections 3 and 257, Block IX, Mawheraiti Survey District, and Sections 180, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, and 29, Block X of the said survey district, continuing on same bearing to a point on the right or western bank of the Rough River; thence following down the said river bank to its intersection with the northern or left bank of the Grey River; thence due south across the Grey River to its left or southern bank; thence easterly generally along the said left bank till a point is reached due north of the said north-east corner of Section 5, Block IV, Ahaura Survey District; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 5 to the intersection with Section 6; thence following the southern boundaries of Sections 6 and 7 to the southern corner of Section 7; thence along the south-western boundaries of Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10, continuing on till a point on the Waipuna Creek is reached; thence down the said creek to the confluence with Noble’s Creek; thence up the said creek to its source on Napoleon Hill; thence following track and road in a westerly direction through Orwell Creek Township till the north-western corner of Section 107, Block II, Ahaura Survey
