    (inclusive).

  2. License fee: £2.

  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Under-
    Secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington (or any
    person authorized by such Under-Secretary in that behalf).

SOUTHLAND ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 62 of 9th August, 1934, at
page 2451.)

  1. Season: Noon on 1st July to noon on 1st September, 1944
    (inclusive).

  2. License fee: £2.

  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Chief Post-
    master, Invercargill; Postmasters, Awarua Plains, Balfour, Dipton,
    Gore, Lumsden, Mataura, Nightcaps, Orawia, Orepuki, Otatau,
    Riversdale, Riverton, Wairio, Winton, Woodlands, and Half-moon
    Bay.

WAIAPU ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March, 1925,
at page 753, excepting the County of Uawa, which is included
in the Second Schedule to the Opossum Regulations 1934.)

  1. Season: Noon on 14th July to noon on 1st October, 1944
    (inclusive).

  2. License fee: £2.

  3. Officer authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Postmaster,
    Tolaga Bay.

WAIMARINO ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March, 1925,
at page 753.)

  1. Season: Noon on 1st June to noon on 1st September,
    1944 (inclusive).

  2. License fee: £2.

  3. Officer authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Postmaster,
    Raetihi.

WELLINGTON ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT

(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 54 of 19th August, 1937, at
page 1847.)

  1. Season: Noon on 20th July to noon on 20th September,
    1944 (inclusive).

  2. License fee: £2.

  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Chief Post-
    masters, Wellington and Palmerston North; Postmasters, Petone,
    Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Featherston, Greytown, Masterton, Carter-
    ton, Martinborough, Eketahuna, Pahiatua, Paekakariki, Waikanae,
    Paraparaumu, Otaki, Levin, Shannon, Bulls, Marton, Turakina,
    Hunterville, Mangaweka, and Taihape.

MARLBOROUGH ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT

Trustees for the Tokaanu Public Cemetery appointed

PURSUANT to section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908,
I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint—

John Atirau Asher,
Cecil Bridgen,
Puataata Alfred Grace, and
Tupu Paurini

to be trustees of the Tokaanu Cemetery as described in the
Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management of
the said cemetery.

SCHEDULE

TOKAANU PUBLIC CEMETERY

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District,
containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 14·8 perches,
more or less, being Section 3, Block III, Pihanga Survey
District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 26th day of February, 1944.

Trustees for the Owhango Public Cemetery appointed

PURSUANT to section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I,
Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Jim Goddard,
Harry Grattan, and
Douglas Max Lockyer

to be trustees to have the maintenance and care of the Owhango
Public Cemetery, as described in the Schedule hereto, in place of

Leslie Arthur Brown and Alexander Devereux,
who have resigned their trusteeship, and of

Nicholas Bringazee, deceased.

And I do hereby confirm the appointment of

Walter Fursdon and William O’Donnell

as trustees of the said Owhango Public Cemetery made by an
instrument executed on the twentieth day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-nine, and published in the Gazette on the
first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, at
page 1629.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 15·4 perches, more
or less, being part Section 48, Block X, Hunua Survey District:
Bounded towards the east by Te Kuiti—National Park State
Highway, towards the south by Section 60, Block X, Hunua Survey
District, and towards the north-west by the North Island Main
Trunk Railway. As the same is more particularly delineated in a
plan marked L. and S. 2/10, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 23rd day of February, 1944.

lent Royal New Zealand Navy and appointed H.M.N.Z. ship as
directed, in command, to date 22nd September, 1943.

Commander Stephen Wentworth Roskill, R.N., appointed
H.M.N.Z. ship as directed, vice Mansergh, to date 1st October, 1943.
(Granted the acting rank of Captain whilst holding this appointment.)

Commander Duncan Hamish Harper, R.N. (retired), lent Royal
New Zealand Navy and appointed H.M.N.Z. ship as directed, to
date 22nd September, 1943. (To continue to serve in the acting
rank of Commander whilst holding this appointment.)

Lieutenant-Commander Jeken Allen Elwin, R.N., lent Royal
New Zealand Navy and appointed H.M.N.Z. ship as directed, to

Naval Cadet Peter Drummond Allan, transferred to the Royal
New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve, to date 1st May, 1943, in the
rank of Probationary Temporary Acting Sub-Lieutenant, with
seniority of 1st May, 1943.
