NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A HOSPITAL UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928, AND AMENDMENTS

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga Hospital Board proposes to take the piece of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of the Tauranga Hospital, an institution under the control of the Tauranga Hospital Board; and also that a plan showing the lands required to be taken with the names of the owners and occupiers of the same is deposited at the office of the Tauranga Hospital Board, Cameron Road, Tauranga, and is open for public inspection during business hours; and also that all persons affected by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 15th day of February, 1944, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the office of the Tauranga Hospital Board aforesaid addressed to the undersigned.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Temuka United Friendly Societies’ Dispensary Friendly Society, Register No. 399, held at Temuka, is dissolved by instrument, registered at this office, the twenty-second day of February, 1944, unless, within three months from the date of the Gazette in which this advertisement appears, proceedings be commenced by a member or other person interested in or having a claim on the funds of the society to set aside such dissolution, and the same be set aside accordingly.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,500, to be known as ‘Crematorium Loan, 1943,’ authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a crematorium for its district, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value, being the annual value, of all rateable property of the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the said City of Nelson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 24th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Nelson City Council held on 17th February, 1944.
