“Resolved, as a special resolution in accordance with section 221 (b) of the Companies Act, 1933—
“(a) That the company be wound up voluntarily;
“(b) Mr. A. C. A. HYDE, of Hastings, to be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

CREDITORS’ VOLUNTARY WINDING UP

Notice of Meeting of Creditors

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Sidney Tricklebank, Limited, will be held on Thursday, the 20th day of January, 1944, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, in the Chamber of Commerce Hall, Chamber of Commerce Building, Courthouse Lane, Auckland C.1, on Thursday, the 20th day of January, 1944, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the Company, and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

BOROUGH OF NEWMARKET

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and amendments thereto, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“Loan of £9,000

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorized to be raised by the Newmarket Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of replacing and cleaning and relining watermains in the borough, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-third pence (1⅓d.) in the pound on the annual rateable value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Newmarket; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twenty-two (22) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“Loan of £1,000

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the said loan, with interest thereon, at a rate not exceeding three and one-half (3½) per centum per annum by equal half-yearly payments to cover principal and interest during the currency of such loan, which is for a period of five (5) years, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound upon the annual value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Newmarket, such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate and to be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of five (5) years or until the said loan is fully paid off.”

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE

Fitzherbert Bridge Repayment Loan (1944) of £3,600

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Palmerston North City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of repaying, to the extent that sinking funds are insufficient, the Palmerston North Fitzherbert Bridge Loan, 1933, of £6,000, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-nineteenth of a penny (1/19d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
