Removal of Name from the Commission of the Peace

Wellington, 8th November, 1943.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in terms of section 8 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, to direct the removal of the name of

Norman Dugald Ferrier Campbell, of Motunau,

from the Commission of the Peace; and it is hereby notified that such name has been removed accordingly, and that such removal will take effect on and from this 8th day of November, 1943.

Appointment of Inspector of Sea-fishing

to be Registrar at Palmerston North of the Supreme Court of New Zealand and Sheriff for the District of Manawatu for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, Clerk of the Magistrates' Court at Palmerston North for the purposes of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1928, and Clerk of the Licensing Committee for the District of Palmerston North for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, on and from 26th day of October, 1943; and Registrar of Marriages for the District of Palmerston North for the purposes of the Marriage Act, 1908, Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Palmerston North for the purposes of the Births and

Deaths Registration Act, 1924, and Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Palmerston North for the purposes of the Maori Births and Deaths Registration Regulations 1935, on and from the 26th day of October, 1943; and Registrar of Electors and Returning Officer for the Palmerston North Electoral District for the purposes of the Electoral Act, 1927, and its amendments, and Returning Officer for the Palmerston North Licensing District for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, and its amendments, on and from the 26th day of October, 1943.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block V, Kaniere Survey District, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Hokitika and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 27·4 perches. Being part Reserve 190.

Situated in Block V, Kaniere Survey District (Westland R.D.). (S.O. 4311.)

In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 116688, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for a police-station: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tinui and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
