Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in City of Christchurch,
Canterbury Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
September, 1943

Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms
portion of a reserve for public purposes: And whereas it
is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land
shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a)
of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reser-
vation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
changed from a reserve for public purposes to a reserve for recreation
purposes.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 28·3 perches, more or
less, situated in the City of Christchurch, being part of Lot 52,
D.P. 8335, comprising part of Rural Section 154, and being part of
the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 395, folio 172
(Canterbury Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1/975E, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.
