Certificate under the Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940/141
and Amendment thereof

PURSUANT to Regulation 6 (2) of the Licensing Act Emergency
Regulations 1940/141, as amended by Licensing Act Emergency Regulations 1940, Amendment No. 1 (1942/301), I certify
that of the licensed premises known as the Star Hotel, situated
at Swanson and Federal Streets in the City of Auckland, such
portion thereof being the western part of Lot 7, Section 18, City of
Auckland, facing Federal Street, and having a depth of 60 ft. to
Swanson Street, and the western part of Lot 9 of the said section
facing Federal Street aforesaid has been taken possession of and is
being used on behalf of the New Zealand Government for purposes
connected with the war in which his Majesty is now engaged, and do
hereby declare that such part of the said licensed premises as
is above described and occupied on behalf of the New Zealand
Government is excluded from the licensed premises, and that such
exclusion from the licensed premises shall be deemed to have been
in force as from the 2nd day of September, 1943, and do hereby
declare that the publican’s license in force in respect of the remainder
of the said licensed premises shall not be suspended.

The Wellington Spring-makers’ Labour Legislation Suspension Order
1943

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Wellington Spring-makers’
    Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1943.

  2. This Order applies to six female workers employed by
    N. W. Thomas and Company, Limited, Wellington, in the winding
    of platform springs for Sten guns and to the employer of such
    workers.

  3. The provisions of section 3 (2) (a) of the Factories Amendment
    Act, 1936, are hereby suspended in so far as the employment of the
    workers referred to in clause 2 hereof is concerned.

  4. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date
    hereof, and shall continue in force until the 23rd day of November,

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-Drivers Regulations
1940

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,
the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve, until further
notice, of the persons named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder
being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority
specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

The Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the
Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme,
    1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and
    deemed part of the Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942* (hereinafter
    referred to as “the principal scheme”).

  2. Clause (6) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by
    revoking the words “E. Lloyd, Mosgiel” (relating to the delivery
    of milk in Zone No. 3), and substituting therefor the following :—

“A. McGregor, Mosgiel.”
