(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following members:—
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Lyttelton Borough Council:
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme:
(c) The Sub-District Oil Fuel Controller, Lyttelton.

(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(6) Deliveries of milk under contract to schools and establishments of the Armed Forces are excluded from this scheme.

(7) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

The Raetihi-Ohakune Bread Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby amend the Raetihi-Ohakune Bread Delivery Notice 1943† by revoking the area allotted in the Schedule for delivery by Messrs. Thomas’s Bakery, Ohakune, and by substituting therefor the following area:—
“ Ohakune: Raetihi Road to ‘S’ Bend; south to Rangataua.”

The Picton Milk Delivery Notice 1943

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Picton Milk Delivery Notice 1943.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following publication thereof in the Gazette.

  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.

SCHEDULE.

THE PICTON MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means the Borough of Picton:
“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport.

(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following members:—
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Picton Borough Council:
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme:
(c) The Sub-District Oil Fuel Controller, Picton.

McIsaac Bros., Dairymen, High Street, Picton In all that area in the district situated east of the railway-line, and also in Dublin Street to London Quay and High Street to Wellington Street.
M. Steele, Confectioner, London Quay, Picton To his place of business in London Quay only.
W. Hall, Dairyman, Scotland Street, Picton To his place of business in Scotland Street only.
W. Esson, Dairyman, Devon Street, Picton Within a quarter-mile radius of his place of business in Devon Street.

Lyttelton and Area Commodities Delivery Notice 1943

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Lyttelton and Area Commodities Delivery Notice 1943.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

LYTTELTON AND AREA COMMODITIES DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means the Borough of Lyttelton and the adjoining area, inclusive of Governor’s Bay, Corsair Bay, and Rapaki:
“ Wholesale purchaser ” means a person who purchases commodities for resale or for transport to an area outside the district or for consumption at a military camp, hotel, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies of commodities:
“ Commodities ” means bread, meat, and groceries.

(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following members:—
(a) The two representatives of the Lyttelton Borough Council appointed for the purpose of the Lyttelton Milk Delivery Notice 1943:
(b) The Sub-District Oil Fuel Controller, Lyttelton:
(c) Three representatives appointed by the vendors of the respective commodities in the district, each to sit on the committee when it is dealing with delivery of the respective commodity or commodities.

(3) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the Committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(4) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(5) It shall be a condition of this scheme that commodities shall be delivered within the district as follows, and not otherwise:—
(a) Bread may be delivered only as authorized in clause (6) hereof:
(b) Meat may be delivered in the district by any vendor to any person, whether or not that person is a wholesale purchaser, on three days in any week during the months of December, January, and February in each year, and on two days in any week during the months of March to November (inclusive) in each year; deliveries to ships may be made as required:
(c) Groceries may be delivered for any one household or person on one occasion in any week. Deliveries to ships may be made as required.

(6) Delivery of bread:—

J. T. Norton, Ltd.
Shops and depots daily: W. Vidulich, J. R. Webb and Co., F. H. Heal, C. B. Russell and Co. (all of London Street); T. B. Thomson, Dublin Street; J. McGuire and Co., Simeon Quay; A. Smith, Corsair Bay.
Hotels daily: Mitre Hotel, Norwich Quay; Saxon Hotel, Norwich Quay; Empire Hotel, London Street (last named, alternate months).
Shipping: Daily, as required.
