Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.--Declaration of Essential Industry No. 135
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the University of New Zealand and affiliated University Colleges in respect of administrative staffs only to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.--Amendment to Declaration of Essential Industry No. 84
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 84 by deleting therefrom the words--
"the operations of," and also by deleting the words-- "except in respect of employees engaged wholly or substantially in the handling or dispensing of alcoholic liquors," and by substituting therefor the words-- "except in respect of employees who during ordinary working hours are engaged for more than fifteen hours per week in the handling or dispensing of alcoholic liquors."

THE Controller of Man-power doth hereby give notice that the Minister of Industrial Man-power has made the following amendments to declarations of essential undertakings as enumerated hereunder as from the dates indicated:-

The Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1943.--Land-tax payable
IN accordance with Order in Council dated 25th August, 1943, issued under the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1943, I hereby notify that the land-tax leviable under that Act is payable at my office in one sum on Thursday, 30th September, 1943, and that additional tax accrues if not paid by 21st October, 1943. Liability is not suspended by any objection, and tax must be paid by the prescribed date to avoid additional percentage; any over-payment will be refunded.
Demands will be issued on or about 23rd September, 1943, and must be presented with all payments. Taxpayers who do not receive an expected demand should notify me.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Raymond William Hope, of the Public Trust Office, Christchurch, to be deputy of the District Public Trustee, Wanganui, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous Warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.
