Additional Land at Otaki taken for the Purposes of the Wellington -
New Plymouth Railway

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience,
and enjoyment of the Wellington - New Plymouth Railway
to take further land at Otaki in addition to land previously acquired
for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two
hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :-
A. R. P. Being
25 1 0 Part bed Otaki River; coloured orange.
0 0 11-7 Part Waha-o-te-Marangai 1B ; coloured sepia.
0 0 16-5 Part Waha-o-te-Marangai 1c ; coloured blue.
Situated in Block IX, Waitohu Survey District, Horowhenua
County. (S.O. 20982.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 7197, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of August, 1943.

Declaring Land taken for a Government Work, and not required for
that Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto
to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land :
2 roods 7-9 perches.
Being part Lot 24, D.P. 999, and being part Rural Section 85,
Township of Sandon.
Situated in Block XIV, Oroua Survey District (Borough of
Feilding). (S.O. 20025.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 97364, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 3lst day of August, 1943.

Land taken for an Electrical Substation-site in the City of Christchurch
[L.S.] C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for an electrical substation-site
and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of
Christchurch as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-three.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 3-2 perches.
Being part Lot 6, D.P. 1003, being part Town Sections 380 and 382
(City of Christchurch) (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7505.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 117620, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of August, 1943.
