(b) The Sub-District Oil Fuel Controller, Temuka :
(c) Three representatives appointed by the vendors of the
respective commodities in the district each to sit on the
committee when it is dealing with delivery of the respec-
tive commodity or commodities.
(3) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and
investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme,
to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the
committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its
own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for
amending this scheme.
(4) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the com-
mittee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(5) It shall be a condition of this scheme that commodities
shall be delivered within the district as follows and not otherwise :-
(a) Bread may be delivered to the premises of wholesale pur-
chasers only, except for the zoned deliveries authorized
in clause (6) hereof :
(b) Meat may be delivered in the district by any vendor to
any person, whether or not that person is a wholesale
purchaser, on three days in any week during the months
of December, January, and February in each year, and
on two days in any week during the months of March
to November (inclusive) in each year, but only in accord-
ance with the zones allotted in clause (6) hereof :
(c) Groceries may be delivered for any one household or person
on one occasion in any week, but only in accordance
with the zones allotted in clause (6) hereof.
(6) Name of vendor and description of zone allotted including
frequency of delivery :-
(a) BAKERS
Reid’s Limited, Temuka
Wednesdays and Saturdays.—Seadown, Kerrytown, Waitohi,
and Upper Waitohi.
Tuesdays and Fridays.—Orakapaoa, Milford, and Clandeboye :
Along Main Milford Road to Orakapaoa ; thence to Crossman’s,
to Gorman’s, along Beach Road to Milford School Corner and along
Main Milford Road to Kyne’s Corner ; thence down Trumper’s
Road, return to and cross Orari Bridge to Sheriff’s Corner, along
Sheriff’s Road to the sea, and back via Canal Road to Orton Road
Corner ; return along Orton Road to Beach Road to Guild’s Road,
to Patterson’s Road, along Patterson’s Road to Factory Road and
on to Grange Road ; thence to McNair’s Road and thence back
to Temuka, as the route is further described by blue marking on
the plan.
Shepherd Brothers, Temuka
Wednesdays and Saturdays.—From Boys’ Home at Temuka on
to Orakapaoa ; thence to Milford School Corner, down Clyne’s
Road to the Five Cross Roads ; thence via North Town Belt back
to the borough, as the route is further described by red marking
on the plan.
Tuesdays and Fridays.—Main North Road to River Road,
Wallingford Road, Lachlan Street to Main North Road to Spring-
field Road, McNair’s Road, and on to Factory Road, and then
return to Temuka ; thence to Public Works Camp, Epworth, and
Waiapi, and back to Temuka, as the route is further described by
red marking on the plan.
J. S. McBride, Winchester
Mondays and Thursdays.—Hilton District.
Wednesdays and Saturdays.—Stewart’s Settlement and Belfield
via Riley’s Road by the following routes : Up Main North Road
to Waihi, crossing past Orari Factory to Stewart’s Settlement,
back to Factory Corner, thence to Belfield, returning via Main
South Road, as the routes are further described by black marking
on the plan.
Tuesdays and Fridays.—Orari. Clandeboye by the following
routes : Through Budd’s Settlement to Fisher’s, returning to Orton
Road ; thence north to Farm Road, turning left down Farm Road
taking in Penny’s Road ; thence returning to Orton Road ; turn north
along Orton Road to McDonald’s Road, then east to Rolleston’s
Road and down to the Clandeboye Store ; thence west to McAuley’s
and back, east along Canal Road to the sea, and thence back around
Sheriff’s Road to Rolleston’s Bridge, taking in portion between
Sheriff’s Corner and Clandeboye Store ; down Trumper’s Road to
the beach, returning to Kyne’s Corner ; thence to Winchester via
Stump’s Road, as the routes are further described by black marking
on the plan.
Wednesdays and Saturdays.—Milford by the following routes :
From the shop to Springfield Road, over the railway-line to Factory
Road ; thence on to Guild’s Road up to left half a mile and back
to the Five Cross Roads ; turn left up Clyne’s Road to first house
and then back to Five Cross Roads ; along Boiling Down Road to
Milford Factory, down White’s Road a few chains, return to Factory
Corner ; thence turn south to Orakapaoa Corner and turn left to
Westaway’s around to Comer’s Corner ; turn right down to Hole’s ;
thence to left and thence to right down to beach ; thence return
west as far as Milford School, south to Parke’s and back to corner,
west along to Rye’s Road to Woodhead’s Corner, and turn south
for half a mile and back to Woodhead’s Corner ; again west along
Rye’s Road past McCully’s, across Guild’s Road to Factory Road,
turn south to Springfield Road, then west to Te Awa Settlement
via Old Mill Road and back to Winchester, as the routes are further
described by black marking on the plan.
(b) BUTCHERS
Nicholas Bros., Temuka
Fridays.—The area north-west of Temuka and also Orakapaoa
by the following routes : North along King Street to River Road,
proceeding via Wallingford Road to Lachlan Street to Main North
Road to Oxford Crossing, back to Springfield Road ; along Springfield
Road to McNair’s Road ; thence south to Counihan’s, and then retrac-
ing course to Springfield Road and proceeding to Factory Road ;
thence south to the North Town Belt ; along the Belt to Seddon Street ;
thence returning to Belt and proceeding to Five Cross Roads ;
along Canal Road to Hayhurst’s Corner ; thence along Main Milford
Road to Orakapaoa, continuing along Parke’s Road to Ned Tarrant’s ;
thence proceeding along Boiling Down Road, Lower Swamp Road,
and North Town Belt to McNair’s Road to the three houses at the
south end ; thence returning to the shop via Railway Terrace, as
the route is further described by blue marking on the plan.
Morrison and Son, Butchers
Thursdays.—Arowhenua, Washdyke, Levels, and Seadown
Districts.
J. S. McBride, Winchester
Deliveries of meat at same time as the deliveries of bread
authorized as described in last preceding paragraph (a).
(c) GROCERS
- Gapper and Sheen, Ltd., of Seadown
Mondays.—Main North Road and Orakapaoa District, namely :
That area bounded to the west by the Temuka Borough boundary,
to the north by the Lower Swamp, Boiling Down and White’s Roads,
to the south by the Main Milford Road, to the east by Tanner’s
Road, on the route as further described by blue markings on the
plan.
Wednesdays.—Eastern half of Temuka Borough.
Thursdays.—Western half of Temuka Borough.
Fridays.—Maori Pah, Public Works Camp, Seadown District.
- C.F.C.A., Ltd., Temuka
Mondays.—Waitohi District, namely : That area bounded by
a line commencing at the Manse Bridge through the Waitohi Road,
then turning north into the Rangitira Valley Road and continuing
round until the Waitohi Road is again picked up in the west, and
thence along Young’s and the Waiapi Roads down to the Temuka
River on the east, as the route is further described by red marking
on the plan.
Tuesdays (fortnightly and alternate to sale days).—Milford
District, namely : That area bounded to the north by the Orari
River, to the west by Factory Road, to the east by the coast, and
to the south by the Lower Swamp, Boiling Down and White’s
Roads, and thence from the northern borough boundary to the sea,
as the route is further described by red marking on the plan.
Wednesdays.—Eastern half of Temuka Borough.
Thursdays.—Western half of Temuka Borough.
Fridays.—Maori Pah, Public Works Camp.

Fortnightly delivery, alternate to sale days, to Milford District
as hereinbefore defined, and to Te Awa Settlement north of Old
Mill Road and the Main Winchester Road in conjunction with
the Milford District run, as the route is further described by yellow
marking on the plan.

Agreement for Grant of Right-of-way in favour of the Kaitaia Meat
Company, Limited, over Land in Block V, Takahue Survey
District, taken for a Post-office, assented to
WHEREAS the pieces of land being, firstly, an area of 0·61
perches, being part of Old Land Claim No. 7, and, secondly,
an area of 2·42 perches, being part of the land on D.P. 27564, being
part of Old Land Claim No. 7, both situate in Block V, Takahue
Survey District, as the same are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 111423, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington and thereon coloured grey and blue respec-
tively, have been taken for the purposes of a post-office :
And whereas the Kaitaia Meat Company, Limited, a duly
incorporated company having its registered office at Kaitaia, was
entitled to compensation for its freehold interest in the said area of
2·42 perches secondly above described :
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the
said Kaitaia Meat Company, Limited, the free and perpetual
right-of-way, ingress, egress, and regress with or without implements
and vehicles of every description loaded or unloaded by night
as well as by day for the Kaitaia Meat Company, Limited, its
successors and assigns and its tenants, servants, agents, workmen,
licensees, and invitees, and all persons having business with it, in,
over, and upon both the said pieces of land hereinbefore described
in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid :
And whereas the said Kaitaia Meat Company, Limited, has
agreed to accept such grant of right-of-way in part satisfaction of
the said compensation :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, in
pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he
assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
