Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Waitara Fire Board

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth hereby appoint Friday, the 10th day of September, 1943, to be the date for holding an election of two members of the Waitara Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignations of Messrs. A. G. Bell and A. H. Lyell from the said Board.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to John McColm Cowden, of Stokes Valley, Heretaunga.

Temuka and Area Commodities Delivery Notice 1943
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—
- This notice may be cited as the Temuka and Area Commodities Delivery Notice 1943.
- This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
- The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
TEMUKA AND AREA COMMODITIES DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means the Borough of Temuka and the area adjoining thereto as shown on the plan :
“ Wholesale purchaser ” means a person who purchases commodities for resale or for transport to an area outside the district or for consumption at a military camp, hotel, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies of commodities :
“ Commodities ” means bread, meat, and groceries :
“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department, Wellington, under No. TT. 3393.
(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following members:—
(a) The Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, and the Town Clerk for the time being of the Borough of Temuka :
