MINISTER'S DECISIONS UNDER SALES TAX ACT—continued

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Frederick Raymond Macken, of the Public Trust Office, Hawera, to be deputy of the District Public Trustee, Hawera, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Horace Brewer Robb, of the Public Trust Office, New Plymouth, to be deputy of the District Public Trustee, New Plymouth, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Manufacture for Sale of Macaroni
AN application has been received from G. Robert, 14 Armadale Road, Remuera, Auckland, for a license to commence in the above industry to the extent of manufacturing egg noodles.

Taking of Fish for Sale
An application has been received from G. R. Lynne, Mangere, Auckland, for a variation in the conditions of his existing industrial fishing license to permit him to operate the 48 ft. 40 h.p. fishing-vessel "Rawene," AK. 131, using trawl-nets, set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Lyttelton.

Any persons who consider they will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications, and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 12th August, 1943.

Price Order No. 149 (Fish within Wellington Metropolitan Area)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 149, and shall come into force on the 2nd day of August, 1943.
  2. In this Order the term "licensed" in relation to any fisherman, fish-wholesaler, and fish-retailer means "licensed pursuant to the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936."
  3. For the purposes of this Order, a licensed fish-wholesaler selling to any person for any purpose other than resale shall be deemed with respect to any such sale to be a licensed fish-retailer.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
4. (1) This Order applies only with respect to sales of fish to a purchaser carrying on business or resident within the Wellington Metropolitan Area which for the purposes of this Order shall be deemed to comprise the cities of Wellington and Lower Hutt, the boroughs of Eastbourne and Petone, and the Town District of Johnsonville.
(2) Subject to the last preceding subclause, this Order applies with respect to—
(a) Sales by a licensed fisherman to a licensed fish-wholesaler of any fish of a kind and in the state of preparation described or referred to in the First Schedule hereto :
