The Sale of Meat-meal Control Order 1943
PURSUANT to the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Minister of Agriculture doth hereby make the following Order.
ORDER
- This Order may be cited as the Sale of Meat-meal Control Order 1943, and shall come into force on the 31st day of July, 1943.
- In this Order the term “meat-meal” includes any preparation that is manufactured wholly or mainly from such portions of slaughtered stock as are generally regarded as being unsuitable for human consumption, and that is represented by the manufacturer to be intended or suitable for use as a food for stock or poultry.
- No person who has acquired any meat-meal from a manufacturer or from any other person shall add to such meat-meal any ingredient with a view to selling it as a fertilizer or otherwise than as a food for stock or poultry.
- (1) No person shall sell by retail any meat-meal except on production of an order signed by or on behalf of the purchaser.
(2) Every such order shall contain a statement to the effect that the meat-meal to which the order relates is required by the purchaser as food for stock or poultry kept by him and will be used exclusively for that purpose.
(3) No person shall use for any purpose, other than the feeding of stock or poultry kept by him, any meat-meal acquired by him pursuant to this clause.
