WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £3,500, to be known as the ‘Whangarei Harbour Board Small-farms Loan, 1942,’ authorized to be raised by the Whangarei Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchase of the Crown’s interest in lands vested in the Whangarei Harbour Board and used as small farms, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/44th of a penny in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Whangarei Harbour District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-eight years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was moved by Mr. Reynolds, seconded by Mr. Allan, and declared carried.

BOROUGH OF TAKAPUNA.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Takapuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £23,300, authorized to be raised by the Takapuna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for (a) construction of a new reservoir, (b) installation of 9 in. rising main, (c) acquisition of 8 in. main from Devonport Borough Council, (d) installation of 6 in. pipes, and (e) cleaning and lining of pipes, the said Takapuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-twentieths of a penny (11/20d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprising the whole of the Borough of Takapuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Takapuna Borough Council at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 3rd February, 1943.
