The Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby amend the Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1942† by adding to clause 2 of the Schedule the following :—

“ H. Grace and Sons, Balclutha | The whole of the district.”

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Mervyn Alfred Renall, Parkvale, Carterton.

Administration of Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, in the Piako County.— (Notice No. Ag. 4018)

THE following resolution, passed by the Piako County Council on 20th April, 1942, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934.


RESOLUTION

“ That the Council take over the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act.”

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Three Kings Extension No. 41 affecting part of Allotments 90, 91, and 92 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, North Auckland Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that Hamon Avenue, Fulljames Avenue, Barclay Avenue, Dally Terrace, and Connelly Avenue shown thereon should be of the width of 66 ft. :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of Hamon Avenue and Fulljames Avenue of a width of not less than 50 ft. and Barclay Avenue, Dally Terrace, and Connelly Avenue of a width of not less than 40 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such roads.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the portion of Hamon Avenue south of Duke Street of not less width than 40 ft. and the portion of Hamon Avenue north of Duke Street of not less width than 50 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of Savage Avenue of a width of not less than 54 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 30th day of June, 1943.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of Savage Avenue of not less width than 54 ft. and Simmonds Avenue of not less width than 50 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such roads.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 19 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare that the provisions of Part IV of the said regulations do henceforth apply to all persons employed in Wellington by the United States Joint Purchasing Board.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

APPLICATIONS have been received from Messrs. S. A. and L. C. Ross, Meeanee Quay, West Shore, Port Ahuriri, for licenses to take fish for sale by means of the 32 ft. 24 h.p. launch “ Lorna Doone,” using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Port Ahuriri.

An application has been received from Geo. King, care of Post-office, Onekaka, for a license to take fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “ Nancy,” using long lines and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Nelson.

Applications have been received from Messrs. F. S. and I. A. Petrie for a variation in the conditions of their existing licenses to enable them to operate the fishing-vessel “ Ngaru,” using purse-lampara nets, catches to be landed at Auckland.

Fish Retailing

An application has been received from H. S. Penney, 334 Madras Street, Christchurch, for a fish-retailer’s license to enable him to commence and carry on the sale by retail of fresh and cooked fish at premises situated at the above address.

Fish Canning

An application has been received from F. S. Petrie for a fish-canner’s license to enable him to can fish for sale at premises to be erected on Lot 16, Block 9, Gaunt Street, Western Reclamation, Auckland.

Any persons who consider they would be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications, and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 22nd July, 1943.
