of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered

Limited, for a Tramway across the Greymouth-Waiho Main
Highway

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the
Tramways Act, 1908, and the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the term of
the license granted for a period of ten years from the twentieth
day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, by
the Main Highways Board to Stuart and Chapman, Limited, a duly
incorporated company having its registered office at Ross (hereinafter
referred to as “the licensee”), authorizing the licensee to construct
and maintain a private tramway on and across the Greymouth-
Waiho Main Highway, the position of such tramway being more
particularly shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 115478, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
John Matson Fisher,
Tom Gordon Prebble,
John Hartnell,
William Downey,
Herbert George Prebble, and
Cecil Henry Widdowson
to be the Prebbleton Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday,
the twenty-second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-three, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public
Library, Springs Road, Prebbleton, as the place where, the first
meeting of the Board shall be held.

Licensing the Vincent County Council to occupy a Site for a Wharf
at Makarora in Lake Wanaka

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of June, 1943
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit the Vincent
County Council (hereinafter called “the Council,” which term shall
include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different
construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land
below low-water mark at Makarora in Lake Wanaka, as shown on
approved plan marked M.D. 8211, and deposited in the office of the
Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining
thereon a wharf as shown on the said plan, such license to be held
and enjoyed by the Council upon and subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
- THIS license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940,
and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable,
apply hereto. - The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 1st
June, 1943. - The annual sum payable by the Council shall be 1s. payable
on demand. - The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said
wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above
high-water mark or at such other places as may be approved by the
Council.
