THE COMPANIES ACT, 1933, SECTION 282 (3)
TAKE notice that at the expiration of three months from the
date hereof the names of the undermentioned companies
will, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the Register
and the companies dissolved :-

THE HAWKE'S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXECUTE WORKS AND TO TAKE LAND
PURSUANT to section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928, notice
is hereby given that the Hawke's Bay County Council proposes,
under the powers conferred by the Counties Act, 1920, to execute a
certain public work-namely, the provision of a quarry-and that
accordingly the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to
be taken for the purpose of a quarry : Notice is further given that a
plan of the land required to be taken for the purpose aforesaid is
deposited at the office of the Hawke's Bay County Council in Market
Street, Hastings, and is open for inspection by all persons during
ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the
taking of the said land who have any well-grounded objections to
the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land must
set forth their objections in writing, and send same to the Hawke's
Bay County Council at its office in Browning Street, Napier, on or
before the 20th day of July, 1943, being a date not less than forty
days from the first publication of this notice.
THE SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proposed to be taken :
3 acres 2 roods 10·6 perches, being part Lot 3, Mangaroa Block,
situate in Block II, Te Mata Survey District. As the said piece of
land is shown on plan No. 2094 (red), deposited for inspection as
aforesaid, situate in the County of Hawke's Bay in the Land Registration District of Hawke's Bay.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore existing
between MOSSLEY LLEWELLYN MANNING and HENRY JOHN
BALDWIN at Lower Hutt, carrying on business under the style of
"Manning & Baldwin" as Wood and Coal Merchants and General
Carriers, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from and including
the 1st day of June, 1943.
Mr. BALDWIN will continue the business in his own name, and
all accounts due to and by the previous partnership are to be sent
to Mr. BALDWIN.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY
NOTICE is hereby given that Wentworth Cake Kitchen & Home
Service, Limited, has changed its name to Wentworth Cake
Kitchen, Limited, and that the new name has this day been entered
on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

THE ASHBURTON ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, The Ashburton Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of forty-eight thousand two hundred and fifty
pounds (£48,250), authorized to be raised by The Ashburton Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of sections 2 of £30,000
and 5 of £25,000 of the Special Loan, 1922, £326,150, which mature
respectively on 14th May, 1943, and 21st October, 1943, the said
The Ashburton Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one-thirteenth (1/13th) of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ashburton Electric-power District, comprising the area as proclaimed by proclamation
dated the 14th day of November, 1921, and extended by proclamation
dated the 14th day of March, 1938; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable half-yearly on the 14th day of May and the 14th day of
November in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years (20) or until the loan is fully paid
off."

EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS
Act, 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District
of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the
Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment
of a public school the following land, namely : All that piece of land
situated in the City of Auckland, containing eight acres three roods
thirty-seven perches (8 acres 3 roods 37 perches), more or less, being
part of Lot 18 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at
Auckland under No. 18321, and being part of Allotment 39A of the
District of Tamaki, situated in Block IX of the Rangitoto Survey
District.
A plan of the land is deposited at the Chief Post-office, Auckland, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to
set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of
such land, and to send such writing, within forty days of the publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland
at its office in Wellesley Street East, Auckland.
