Price Order No. 141 (Hairdressing Charges)

P URSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order:-

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 141, and shall come into force on the 7th day of June, 1943.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
  1. This Order applies only with respect to the haircutting and shaving of males, when the services rendered are performed on premises in the occupation of the hairdresser.
FIXING MAXIMUM CHARGES FOR HAIRCUTTING AND FOR SHAVING OF MALES
  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of subclause (2) hereof the maximum charges that may be made for services to which this Order applies shall be:-

s. d.
(a) For haircutting of males under sixteen years of age .. 1 0
(b) For haircutting of males sixteen years of age and over 1 6
(c) For shaving .. .. .. .. .. .. 1 0

(2) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing provisions of this clause the maximum charge for haircutting of males under sixteen years of age shall be ls. 6d. when the service is performed on a Friday after the hour of 4.30 p.m. or at any time on a Saturday.

  1. No additional charge shall be made for customary services performed in relation to haircutting or to shaving.

The Shipping Control (Wellington) Notice 1943

P URSUANT to the Shipping Control Emergency Regulations, 1939,* the Naval Board hereby gives notification as follows:-

  1. This notification may be cited as the Shipping Control (Wellington) Notice 1943.

  2. This notification shall take effect on the day following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

  3. (1) The Public Traffic Regulations 1939+ for the Port of Wellington are hereby amended by revoking paragraph 22, as set out in clause 3 of the Shipping Control (Wellington) Notice 1942+, and substituting the following paragraph:-

“ 22. Examination Anchorage, Position, and Limits.-The examination anchorage is situated within the following limits: From a position 000° 4.5 cables from Steeple Rock Beacon in lat. 41° 19' 28" S., long. 174° 50' 48" E., in a 270° direction for 3.5 cables; thence in a 000° direction for 7 cables; thence in a 099° direction for 5.4 cables; thence by a right line to the first-mentioned position.”

(2) This clause is in substitution for clause 3 of the Shipping Control (Wellington) Notice 1942+, and the said clause 3 is hereby consequentially revoked.
