Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Palm Beach Domain

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of May,
1943
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General In Council
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Alfred George Rule,
Alfred Ernest French,
John William Ushaw,
William Henry Hinkley,
Humphrey Richard Marshall,
Bartholomew Davey,
Edward John Betterton,
James Shaw Laurie Turner, and
James Kennedy
to be the Palm Beach Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint
Saturday, the twenty-ninth day of May, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-three, at six thirty o'clock p.m., as the time when, and
the Palm Beach First-aid Committee Room, Waiheke Island, as
the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-PALM BEACH DOMAIN
ALL that area on Waiheke Island in Blocks I and II, Waiheke
Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods and
30·54 perches, more or less, being Lots 17, 179, 253, 313, 362, 374,
398, 425, and 446 on D.P. 16816, and being portion of Allotment 5,
Waiheke Parish, and portion of Whakarite and Mawhitipana Blocks.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 1/1108, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Also all that area on Waiheke Island, situated in Blocks I and II,
Waiheke Survey District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres
and 2·1 perches, more or less, being Lots 293, 294, 295, 296, 444,
and 445 on D.P. 16816, and being portion of Allotment 5, Waiheke
Parish, and portion of Whakarite and Mawhitipana Blocks. As
the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 1/1108A, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Order under Section 6 of the Visiting Forces Act, 1939
C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General
PURSUANT to subsection five of section six of the Visiting
Forces Act, 1939, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the
following Order:-

  1. The military forces of New Zealand serving during the present
    war are hereby declared for the purposes of the above-mentioned
    section six to be serving together and acting in combination with the
    military forces of His Majesty raised in the United Kingdom.
  2. The military forces of New Zealand serving during the present
    war are hereby declared for the purposes of the above-mentioned
    section six to be serving together and acting in combination with
    the military forces of His Majesty raised in the Commonwealth of
    Australia.
  3. The Order made under section six of the Visiting Forces Act,
    1939, on the twentieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred
    and forty, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-sixth day of
    September, one thousand nine hundred and forty, is hereby revoked.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
    this 3rd day of April, 1943.

    Officers authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations

    PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-
    hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act,
    1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
    Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the
    persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being
    officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite
    their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take
    and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-
    first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

    Appointment of Member of Board of Health under the Health Act, 1920

    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
    upon me by the Health Act, 1920, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall,
    the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
    appoint
    John Wood, Esquire, C.M.G., M.I.C.E.,
    to be a member of the Board of Health for three years from the
    thirteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
    this 25th day of May, 1943.

    Lands temporarily reserved in the North Auckland, Wellington, and
    Otago Land Districts

    WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the
    Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General
    may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwith-
    standing that the same may be then held under pastoral license,
    any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the
    purposes in the said section mentioned :
    Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
    General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
    of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act,
    do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the North Auckland,
    Wellington, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule
    hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the
    respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily
    reserved.
    SCHEDULE
    NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
    ALL that area in the Waitemata County, situated in Block VII,
    Waiwera Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre
    3 roods and 8·5 perches, more or less, being Lots 122 to 128 inclusive,
    and Lot 237 of Allotment 279, Parish of Waiwera. As the same is
    more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/851c,
    deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
    at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Recreation.)
    WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
    Section 3, Block III, Pihanga Survey District : Area, 4 acres
    1 rood 14·8 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 21020.) (Cemetery.)
    OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
    All that area containing 2 roods, more or less, being Sections 2
    of 17 and 3 of 17, Block I, Moeraki Survey District. As the same is
    more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/100/33,
    deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
    at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Plantation.)
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
    this 27th day of May, 1943.

    Section 1, Block XIII, Maungatautari Survey District : Area,
    3 acres, more or less. (Native-school site, Owairaka Valley.)
    WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
    Section 15, Block IX, Moawhango Survey District : Area,
    25·6 perches, more or less. (Primary-education endowment.)
