(d) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually consort
with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible
means of support :
(e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house-breaking
or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering, or possessing counterfeit
coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods,
mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind
under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly
persons, rogues, and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues
convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons
convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act,
1908:
Provided always that the Executive Committee appointed by
the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence
as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of
any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation, should
have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such
person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without
notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such
revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the Rotorua Racing Club (Inc.)
were made and passed by such club on the 12th day of January,
1943, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.
