(3) The principal Order is hereby consequentially amended
by inserting the words “of a kind described in the Schedule
hereto” after the words “in retail containers” in the heading
to clause 5 and also in subclause (1) of the said clause.
4. The principal Order is hereby further amended by
inserting after clause 5 the following heading and new
clause:—

FIXING MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICE OF HONEY SOLD IN COMB
“5A. Notwithstanding anything in the last preceding
clause, the maximum price that may be charged or received by
any retailer for honey sold in the comb shall be computed at
the rate of 1s. 6d. per pound gross weight: Provided that
where the price of any comb honey computed as aforesaid is
not an exact number of pence or half-pence, the maximum
retail price of the lot shall be the nearest upward halfpenny.”
5. The Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended
as follows:—
(a) By inserting, as the first item in the first column of
the said Schedule, a reference to ½ lb. cartons, and
by inserting opposite the said reference in the
second, third, and fourth columns respectively
references to the following prices, namely:—
s. d. s. d. s. d.
“6 0 per dozen | 6 9 per dozen | 0 8 per carton.”
(b) By inserting, before the reference to 2 lb. cartons in
the first column of the said Schedule, a reference to
2 lb. glass jars, and by inserting opposite the said
reference in the second, third, and fourth columns
respectively references to the following prices,
namely:—
s. d. s. d. s. d.
“22 0 per dozen | 24 9 per dozen | 2 6 per jar.”

Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 30th June,
1943, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

ALLOTMENT 21, Albert Town: Area, 2 roods 2 perches. Upset

This allotment is situated at Port Albert adjoining the Public
Library on main wharf road. There is a kauri building 50 ft. by
20 ft. containing nine small rooms and bathroom, not in very
good condition; double brick chimney, with Orion range and open
fireplace. Also a washhouse 18 ft. by 18 ft. in poor order. There
are 3 chains good picket fence on road frontage.
Port Albert is situated on an inlet of the Kaipara Harbour,
seven miles from Wellsford Railway-station.

Settlement Land in the Taranaki Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 18th May, 1943.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act,
1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications
will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New
Plymouth, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 21st June, 1943.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday,
23rd June, 1943, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable
to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any
Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined
documentary evidence of their financial position and farming
experience.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit
in reduction of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS (SETTLEMENT) LAND
Stratford and Eltham Counties.—Omona Survey District
SECTIONS 5s and 9s and Subdivision 2 of Section 6s, Tawhiwhi
Settlement, and part Lot 1, D.P. 2835, Matemateaonga Block,
Block VI: Area, 2,230 acres. Capital value, £560 ; half-yearly
rent, £14.
Weighted with £529 for improvements, comprising whare,
553 chains fencing, 40 acres felled and grassed, 250 acres felled and
burned, and 50 acres cleared and stumped. This sum is payable
in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £29, the balance may be
repaid over a period of twenty years by half-yearly instalments of
£19 12s. 6d., including principal and interest at 5 per cent per
annum.
A grazing property situated on the Tauwharenikau Road,
three miles from Tututawa Post-office and School, nine miles from
Douglas Railway, Dairy Factory, and Saleyards; access is by tar-
sealed and metalled road, with last half a mile clay road, from Strat-
ford, twenty miles distant. The property is well watered by streams;
the soil is light loam on clay, sandstone, and papa formation.
Approximately 40 acres are ploughable, the balance being hilly;
40 acres of the area are heavily infested with ragwort, 200 acres in
worn-out pasture with ragwort prevalent, and 1,990 acres are in
fern, second growth, &c. The fences on the property are in bad
repair.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase
of the undermentioned milling-timber will close at the office
of the State Forest Service, Hokitika, at 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday,
28th May, 1943.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND CONSERVANCY.—WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL the milling-timber on that piece of land containing 80 acres,
situated in Block VI, Kopara Survey District, State Forest No. 25,
approximately fifteen miles from Ruru Railway-station.
The total estimated quantity of timber in cubic feet is 131,200,
or in board feet 844,000, made up as follows:—

Terms of Payment

The successful tenderer shall be liable for payment for any
damage caused by fire on the above-mentioned area during the term
of license.
