Notice of Intention to take Land and Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land for Public Works

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto, and the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto held from His Majesty the King by Lucas Brothers, Limited, under and by virtue of Special Tenure Lease, Volume 25, folio 258 (Marlborough Registry), granted under section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, for public works: And notice is hereby further given that the respective plans of the land required to be taken and the land in which the leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken are deposited in the post-offices as set out in such Schedules, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land or of the said leasehold estate or interest should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land or leasehold estate or interest, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 31st day of May, 1943, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

The Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 14

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 14.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely, the provisions of the principal Order shall not apply—

(a) To the workers coming within the scope of the New Zealand Painters and Decorators’ award dated the 1st day of October, 1942, and recorded in 42 Book of Awards 1089, except those employed on ship or ship-repair work; or

(b) To the workers coming within the scope of the awards specified in the following Schedule, namely:—
