NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations Act, 1936, of the making of regulations and orders as under :—

Roads traversing Native Land proclaimed as Public Roads in Block V, Waiawa Survey District, Gisborne Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the roads described in the Schedule hereto traverse Native land :

And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said roads to be public roads :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said roads should be proclaimed as public roads, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said roads should be proclaimed as public roads :

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as public roads the roads described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as roads :—

In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L and S. 16/901b, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2912, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of his Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of April, 1943.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, Marlborough County, containing by admeasurement 519 acres 2 roods, being Lot 2 of Section 5, Block III, Tennyson Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 104/36, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. plan 1527.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of April, 1943.
