THE HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL, NEW ZEALAND.

LOWRY BAY WATER AND SEWERAGE SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN, 1942.

“ THAT, whereas for the purposes of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Lowry Bay Water and Sewerage Supplementary Loan, 1942, of £500, authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of completing the work for which the Lowry Bay Water and Sewerage Loan, 1939, was raised, a resolution was duly passed by the said Council on the 19th day of February, 1943, making and levying a special rate of three one-hundredths of a penny (3/100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Lowry Bay Special-rating Area, comprising all that area more particularly described in the resolution of the Hutt County Council making a special rate in relation to the Lowry Bay Water and Sewerage Loan, 1939, gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette No. 59 of the 3rd August, 1939, at page 2122; and that such special rate should be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said Lowry Bay Water and Sewerage Supplementary Loan, 1942, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan should be fully paid off:

“ And where it has been ascertained that the said special rate of three one-hundredths of a penny (3/100d.) in the pound will not be sufficient to meet such principal, interest, and other charges:

“ Now, therefore, the Hutt County Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on the Council by section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, hereby resolves that the said special rate of three one-hundredths of a penny (3/100d.) in the pound shall be and is hereby amended by increasing such amount of three one-hundredths of a penny (3/100d.) in the pound to three-tenths of a penny (3/10d.) in the pound.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held on the 16th day of April, 1943.
