The National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Notice under Regulation 19 requiring Men, who have been called up for Service with the Armed Forces, to report.
I, ALBERT EDWARD CONWAY, Adjutant-General, New Zealand Military Forces, and an authorized officer for the purpose of the above-mentioned regulations, do hereby give notice, pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 19 of the said regulations, that the men whose names, addresses, and descriptions are given in the Schedule attached (being men who have been called up in accordance with the said regulations for service with the Armed Forces), are required to report at the respective times and places shown in the said Schedule.

Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces.

I T is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have, on the 8th April, 1943, issued to—
Jack Archibald Parker, Seaman, Alfriston Road, Auckland, Registration No. 641258,
Francis Freeman, Seaman, 303 Cuba Street, Wellington, Registration No. 640895,
Wilfred Smith, Farmer, Ahipaipa Road, Okaiawa, Registration No. 640973,
Percival Edward Parks, Tailer-out, Clydevale, Registration No. 636978, and
Norman Arthur Shaw, Lorry-driver, 114 Yarrow Street, Invercargill, Registration No. 637341,
notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Canning of Fruit and Vegetables.
A N application has been received from Quality Fruits (N.Z.), Ltd., Newmarket, Auckland, for a canning license to enable them to commence and carry on the canning of fruit at Auckland.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.
An application has been received from the Murray Shoe Co., Crummer Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, for an extension of their existing license to enable them to manufacture children’s footwear, size 4 to maids’ footwear size 6½, by the welted process.
An application has been received from R. A. Campbell, 18 Wood Street, Ponsonby, Auckland, for a license to manufacture children’s footwear, sizes 0–9 and 10–13, also boys’ and girls’ footwear, sizes 1–5, by the machine-sewn, screwed, and fairstitch processes, sales to be confined to applicant’s own shop only.
Any persons who consider they will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on any of the above applications, and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 22nd April, 1943.
