A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto
to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land:
18 perches.
Being part Lot 4, D.P. 10439, being part Allotment 245, Waimana
Parish, being portion of the land taken for the purposes of a
quarry by Proclamation No. 9818.
Situated in Block V, Whakatane Survey District (Auckland

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 116046, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured yellow.

Crown Land set apart as Provisional State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests
Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set
apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a
provisional State forest.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland
County, containing by admeasurement 194 acres 2 roods, more
or less, being Section 817, Block LXI, Hokonui Survey
District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan
No. 202/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest
Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of
March, 1943.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £20,500 by the South Canterbury
Electric-power Board and prescribing the Conditions thereof.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of March,
1943.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the South Canterbury Electric-power Board (here-
after called “the said local authority”) is desirous of raising
the sum of twenty thousand five hundred pounds (£20,500), by a loan
to be known as “Development and Concrete-pole Factory Loan,
1943” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of (1)
constructing electric lines and works for normal development work
within the Power District (£16,000), (2) purchasing a site and erecting
and equipping a factory for the manufacture of concrete poles and
other concrete works (£4,500), and (3) for repaying to the Power
Fund Account any moneys not exceeding in the aggregate four
thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500) which may have been
expended out of that account for the purpose of (2) aforesaid prior
to the passing of section twenty-six of the Local Legislation Act,
1942:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the
provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (here-
inafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent
consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said
Act, should be given to the raising of the said loan:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section
eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance
Act, 1932 (No. 2), and section twenty-six of the Local Legislation
Act, 1942, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in
this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the
said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the
amount of twenty thousand five hundred pounds (£20,500), and in
giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may
be raised shall not exceed twenty-five (25) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said
loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the
lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.)
per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan shall be repaid by the annual redemption of
debentures in the years set out in the first column of the Schedule
hereunder of the amounts stated opposite such years in the second
column of the said Schedule.
