(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this
scheme, there shall be a committee which shall consist of the
following members :—
(a) The two members appointed for the time being for the
purpose of paragraph (a) of clause (2) of the Milk
Scheme :
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme :
(c) The Zoning Officer for the North Island.
(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the com-
mittee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment
in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and
investigate complaints affecting the administration of the scheme,
to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the
committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its
own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for
amending this scheme.
(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the
committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks
fit.
(6) It shall be a condition of this scheme that meat may be
delivered in the district by any vendor to any person, whether or
not that person is a wholesale purchaser for the purposes of the
scheme, on such three days in any week during the months of
December, January, and February in each year, and on such two
days in any week during the months of March to November
(inclusive) in each year, as the Minister or a Zoning Officer shall
from time to time appoint in respect of the scheme, but that
otherwise meat may be delivered in the district to the premises of
wholesale purchasers only.

Amending the Warrant adding to Commodities for the Purpose of
the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942.
IN terms of Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations
1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby amend the
Warrant dated the 4th day of August, 1942, and published in the
Gazette of the 6th day of the same month (adding to commodities
for the purpose of the said regulations), by revoking in the
description of commodities the following: Fruit, vegetables, beer,
oil fuel.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regu-
lations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and
declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the
Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers
of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to George Coats Stuart, of
Southland, Eric Lawrence Hunt, of Whakatane, and David George
Williamson, of Balclutha.

Canning of Fruit and Vegetables.
AN application has been received from Thompson and Hills, Ltd.,
for an extension of their existing license covering their
branches at Auckland and Motueka, to enable them to commence
and carry on the above industry at Napier, Hawke’s Bay.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who
wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in
writing not later than 18th March, 1943.

Details: The wooden pile beacon with cage surmount situated
304° 3,450 ft. from the above position has been discontinued and
will be replaced by a black can buoy moored in position 306° 3,580 ft.
from the Trig. Station.
No further notice will be given.
