NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licenses.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

C. W. Schick, Tinopai, has applied for a license to take fish for sale by means of the launch “Echo,” using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Tinopai.

M. McKay, Petone, has applied for a license to take fish for sale by means of the 22 ft. launch “Anita,” using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, catches to be landed at Petone.

R. J. Lidgard, Kennedy’s Bay, has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license to permit him to operate the 31 ft. launch “Mirth,” using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Kennedy’s Bay.

R. S. Clapperton and E. Wells, Petone, have applied for licenses to take fish for sale by means of a fishing-vessel, using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Petone.

CORRIGENDUM

The notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 97, dated 4th November, 1943, page 1291, advising the decision of the Bureau of Industry in granting an industrial fishing license to A. McFarlane, Severn Street, Waihi, is amended by deleting therefrom the words “Danish seine-nets”.

Extraction from Fish Livers of Nutritional or Medicinal Oils

Northland Canneries, Ltd., Auckland, has applied for a license to commence and carry on in the above-mentioned industry at Waipapakauri, near Awanui.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

P. R. Jenkins, 110 Khyber Pass Road, Auckland, has applied for a license to commence the manufacture of children’s sandals and shoes, sizes 7 to 2, and ladies’ sandals 2 to 7, by the machine-sewn and riveted processes.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 9th December, 1943, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
