Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

CONSOLIDATED FISH PRODUCTS, LTD. (a company to be incorporated), has applied for a license to take fish for sale by means of a fishing-vessel, using purse-seine nets, catches to be landed at Auckland.

T. B. Thomson, Katikati, has applied for a license to take fish for sale by means of his 16 h.p. engined, 34 ft. launch “Wanganella,” using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Katikati.

John Kaalund, Ltd., Tauranga, has applied for a license to take fish for sale to its own canning factory by means of its fishing-vessel (to be registered), using purse-seine nets, catches to be landed at Tauranga.

F. M. Donovan, Tauranga, has applied for a license to take fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “Hinurera” (to be registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Tauranga.

T. McGrath has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Wanderer,” using long lines, hand-lines, set-nets, drag-nets, crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Tauranga.

Taking of Oysters from Oyster-beds

Fresh Oysters, Ltd., Invercargill, has applied for an oyster-dredging license to permit the company to operate the Diesel-engined fishing-vessel “Britannia,” BF. 70, for the purpose of taking oysters from oyster-beds for sale.

Fish Retailing

G. N. Pagonis, 125 George Street, Dunedin, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to enable him to sell cooked fish from premises situated at 280 George Street, Dunedin.

Fish Canning

Consolidated Fish Products, Ltd. (a company to be incorporated), has applied for a fish-canner’s license to enable it to can fish for sale at Auckland.

Extraction from Fish Livers of Nutritional or Medicinal Oils

Consolidated Fish Products, Ltd. (a company to be incorporated), has applied for a license to commence and carry on in the above-mentioned industry at Auckland.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired applications in writing not later than the 2nd December, 1943, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
