THE Public Service Commissioner has made the following appointments in the Public Service:—
Alan Roy Cross
to be Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the District of Mount Benger, on and from the 22nd day of October, 1943.
William George Weston
to be Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Matamata, on and from the 1st day of November, 1943.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of omnibuses, shall not apply to Brian Jock Hill, of New Plymouth.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Graeme Edward Gordon, of Fern Flats, Marton.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Neil Bruce Purvis, of Hillend, via Balclutha.

The Hutt Valley Milk Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 1
PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—
(1) This notice may be cited as the Hutt Valley Milk Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hutt Valley Milk Delivery Notice 1943* (hereinafter referred to as “the principal notice”).
(2) Clause (8) of the scheme described in the principal notice is hereby amended—
(a) By revoking the words “Cottleville Dairies, Ltd.” (relating to the delivery of milk in Zone No. 10), and substituting therefor the words “Hutt Valley Milk Company, Ltd.”;
(b) By revoking the words “J. McNeil, Korokoro, Petone” (relating to the delivery of milk in Zone No. 21), and substituting therefor the words “C. E. Bentley, of 77 William Street, Petone”;
and
(c) By adding to the clause the following paragraphs:—
“ Wellington Dairy Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd.,
Council Street, Lower Hutt
Deliveries to any person who on or before the 19th December, 1940, obtained, or who hereafter obtains, milk regularly from the company in quantities of not less than 3 gallons per day.”

The Auckland Shipwrights’ Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943 revoked
PURSUANT to the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby revoke, as from the day of the date hereof, the Auckland Shipwrights’ Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943.

The Essential Building Works Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943, Amendment No. 1
PURSUANT to the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Essential Building Works Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Essential Building Works Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

Clause 9 of the principal Order is amended by revoking paragraph (xii) of subclause (1) thereof.

This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.

Wellington, 9th November, 1943.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial Grade and Commercial Grade are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st November to 30th November, 1943:—
