CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 12th January, 1943.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 15th February, 1943.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 17th February, 1943, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their financial position and farming experience.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease and mortgage fees, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Otamatea County.—Matakohe Survey District.—Parahi Settlement.
SECTIONS 3, 15, 16, and 17, Block V, Matakohe Survey District, and Allotments 187 and 188, Omaru Parish: Area, 318 acres 3 roods 27·9 perches. Capital value, £460; half-yearly rent, £11 10s.
Weighted with £1,140 for improvements, comprising dwelling, wool-shed, cow-shed, washhouse, and store-shed, 110 chains road-fence, 250 chains internal fencing, 54 chains boundary-fencing, 200 acres felled and grassed, and 86 acres in fern and rough feed.
This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £39, the balance is payable as follows:
(1) A loading of £500 repayable over a period of twenty years by half-yearly instalments of principal and interest amounting to £19 12s. 6d., with a final one of £19 17s. 1d.
(2) £601 to the State Advances Corporation on such terms as may be arranged by the applicant with the Corporation. Applicants will require to produce to the Land Board evidence of the terms arranged by them with the Corporation.
Situated on the Parahi-Waiotira Road, eleven miles and a half from Ruawai, and twelve miles from Matakohe Post-office. Nearest railway-station at Waiotira, seventeen miles. Area is mostly plough-able, with approximately 200 acres in pasture, balance ridge and sidlings with scattered bush and rough feed; watered by streams which are unreliable in dry summers.

Land in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 22nd February, 1943.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 24th February, 1943, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at the conclusion of the ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount due on improvements.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Kaitieke County.—Kaitieke Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)
SECTION 18, Block XII : Area, 191 acres. Capital value, £75; half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
Weighted with £90 for improvements, comprising felling, grassing, stumping, fencing, and whare. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £50, the balance may be secured on ten-year table mortgage with interest at 5 per cent. per annum. Half-yearly instalment, £2 11s. 4d.
- The exemption from payment of rent for three years is conditional on the lessee effecting improvements to the value of not less than £25 annually.
This section is situated on the main Taumarunui-Raurimu Road, four miles from Raurimu Post-office, School, and Railway-station. The altitude is from 1,600 ft. to 1,800 ft. Some 60 acres are in grass, but the balance is in fern and milled bush. This property is not a suitable farming proposition by itself, as it is subject to deterioration.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Thursday, 11th February, 1943, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, weighting for improvements, and lease fee.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Awatere County.—Town of Kaikoura.
SECTION 95 : Area, 2 roods 1 perch. Capital value, £75; half-yearly rent, £1 17s. 6d.
Weighted with £300 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising benzine-store shed.
Sections 97, 99, 101, and 103 : Area, 1 acre 3 roods 28.3 perches. Capital value, £240; half-yearly rent, £6.
Weighted with £935 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising dwelling, workshop, blacksmith's shop, garage, three sheds, hut, orchard, and water service.
These sections are situated in Avoca Street close to the wharf.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the Lands Office, Whangarei, on Wednesday, 17th February, 1943, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Whangarei County.—Maungatapere Parish.
ALLOTMENT 132 : Area, 15 acres 3 roods 22 perches. Upset price, £310. Deposit on deferred payments, £75.
Improvements included in upset price consist of dwelling, cow-shed, water-supply, troughs, &c., 40 chains road-fencing, 20 chains internal fencing, and 13 acres pasture (reverted).
The price is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £75, the balance may be repaid over a period of twenty years by forty half-yearly instalments based on figure of £3 19s. 8d. per £100 of principal remaining unpaid.
Situated on main Whangarei-Dargaville Road, twelve miles from Whangarei, two miles from Maungatapere School and Dairy Factory, fifteen miles from Kamo Saleyards.
